Orffa presents four poultry studies at the European Poultry Conference (EPC) in Dubrovnik, Croatia

The 15th European Poultry Conference (EPC) was held from 17 to 21 September 2018 in Dubrovnik (Croatia). During this conference speakers and attendants from universities, research institutions and the industry gathered in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik to discuss the latest knowledge regarding poultry science.

The very well attended conference was structured in plenary sessions, practical workshops, poster sessions and technical tours aiming to be able to get an overview of the latest developments in the area of poultry research and production.

During the conference, Orffa (represented by Tom Rijsselaere) was involved in 4 poster presentations. The topics of the posters varied from (1) the use of hydroxy trace minerals such as Excential Smart Copper and Zinc in broilers, (2) the effect of betaine hydrochloride (Excential Beta-Key) on intestinal health of broilers, (3) the use of clinoptilolite clay (Excential AmmoMIN) in broilers and (4) the effect of the source of selenium (Excential Selenium 4000) deposition on egg quality. All four studies were performed in close collaboration with Belgian universities and research institutes.

The conference was extremely well attended by poultry scientists and specialists coming from 71 countries located on all continents of the globe. It was therefore an excellent opportunity to share Orffa’s expertise on feed additives and feed solutions.
